The Data Warehouse Developer will join a dynamic team within the information technology department designing, building, populating and supporting data warehouses that will service corporate reporting and analytics teams.

  • Design, build, test, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based data pipelines to acquire, profile, cleanse, consolidate, integrate, and persist structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Collaborate with internal and external data analysts to understand data sources, targets, and formats
  • Understand and influence long term data strategies and advocate for additional data sets and elements to improve delivered data products and quality
  • Support exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and machine learning models
  • Optimize and tune queries for performance
  • Explore and employ a variety of programming languages, tools, and interfaces to integrate systems
  • Remain current on data architecture, analytics, and data science developments while researching new technologies and opportunities to improve data acquisition
  • Ensure systems meet industry best practices considering security, privacy, and retention requirements
Desired Skills/Knowledge
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry
  • 5 years of professional experience designing, building, populating and supporting data warehouse structures at scale using Microsoft SQL Server technologies
  • 5 years of professional experience creating data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Professional experience developing in data virtualization platforms such as Denodo
  • Proven ability to understand, discuss and document complex data models and flows
  • Working knowledge of report design in Power BI or SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Professional experience with enterprise data management concepts and software such as IHS Markit EDM/EDMW

  • The ability to work as part of a team, which may be established for a chartered project or as part of ongoing daily assignments within the department
  • Highly motivated to learn new technologies and contribute to the improvement of department processes, standards, and communication
  • Must be accountable and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Commitment to complete assignments according to established goals and objectives• Ability to work non-business hours as needed
