Project Manager

The Program Management team is responsible for devising, implementing, and improving the processes (and associated tools) that help MongoDB succeed in everything we do. Our mission is to provide excellence in the management of initiatives and projects that are aligned with our business goals.

As a project manager, you will connect with multiple stakeholders throughout MongoDB and ensure a successful delivery of both technical and operational projects.

  • Assist Stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Estimate budget and resource requirements based on scope of work
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
    • Creates delivery schedule
    • Facilitate meetings as needed
    • Assist in creation of project related documentation, including policies, standards, procedures
    • Creates Action items, and takes during meetings 
  • Monitor progress and provide project updates on a consistent basis 
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Measure project performance
  • 2+ years of project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, especially Google Suite, Jira, and Confluence. 
  • Experienced seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Strong understanding of Information Technology skills and concepts
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
