Renewals Sales Director

Zendesk is building a renewal sales team to bring a world-class renewals experience to our vast customer base. We're looking for someone who has managed complex SaaS renewals in a highly transactional environment. The Director of Renewals will develop and drive the renewal process by reaching out to our customers in advance of their contract end date and executing all phases of subscription renewal lifecycle. This includes up front communication, preparation of pricing options, identification of new use cases and expansion opportunities, term or agent revisions, obtaining contract signatures and filing the appropriate paperwork.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish a renewals program and process that will increase subscription revenue, usage, subscriptions and market share in existing customer accounts
  • Meet/exceed quarterly quota
  • Proactively monitor the funnel of expiring terms, executes actions in a timely manner to ensure the customer renews their contract
  • Provide timely proposals and quotes as requested pursuant to terms of customer
  • Efficiently handles customer and partner inquiries related to quotes, pricing, expansion and contraction events.
  • Positively interact and collaborate with Customers, Zendesk Partner and Zendesk Sales and Customer Success teams
  • Assists in negotiation of renewal agreements
  • Ensure all activities are recorded in Salesforce
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate and close complex enterprise software renewals transactions
  • 7+ years experience working in software and services sales with small to large enterprise customers
  • Experience growing and managing a team
  • Ideally you have sold SaaS software/renewals
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships across a wide variety of roles within an account
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic SaaS environment
  • Experience leveraging Salesforce
