The Senior Director of Global Field & Partner Enablement will own the vision, strategy, execution and will manage a team to transform and scale a best-in-class global field enablement program, with a focus on digital learning tools and advanced sales methodologies to deliver curriculum and training to Zendesk’s growing field teams. With an emphasis on selling multi-product opportunities across Enterprise/Mid-market/SMB, you’ll design the curriculum to include learning paths oriented to sales, customer success and channel partners. Reporting to VP, Go-to-Market Strategy, your success will be measured by your ability to effectively increase the quality and quantity of deals from our new hires, enhance the skills of new sales reps and partners to drive sales results, decrease time to ramp, and scale a global onboarding program.

We are looking for a senior leader to lead our end to end field enablement efforts focused on Zendesk’s growing sales force. Your key accountabilities will be as follows:

  • Lead the design of a comprehensive curriculum to enable Zendesk’s direct and indirect field teams
  • Ensure enablement initiatives are aligned with company objectives and goals
  • Evaluate the existing sales on-boarding program and take it to the next level, decreasing ramp times, while ensuring our new reps and partners sell Zendesk with our culture, values, and use cases top of mind.
  • Partner and build meaningful relationships across Zendesk globally to understand the sales and customer experience organization’s needs, gain buy-in on Enablement plans, and execute enablement programs
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to meet sales enablement goals
  • Travel to various regions as needed to deliver sales training
  • Collaborate with regional sales leadership, product marketing, GTM operations to host annual sales kickoff (global), bootcamps, and ongoing training
  • Host and deliver field training sessions both on general sales skills as well as company and product specific training for certification purposes
  • Establish and maintain formal KPIs to track effectiveness of field enablement program and initiatives

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
  • 10+ combined years of proven success in a Sales (Enterprise, SMB, Channel) and/or Sales support or Enablement management role
  • 5-7 years of formal sales training experience
  • 2-3 years coaching and/or leading the actual training experience/sales enablement for a SaaS sales organization
  • 4+ years of SaaS software (B2B) sales experience is desirable
  • Proven project/program management capabilities
  • Expert knowledge of sales training techniques and overall selling process and lifecycle including identifying prospects, solution selling, negotiation skills, objection handling, meeting management, and post-sale efforts.
  • Strong ability to deliver and facilitate training for small and large groups, both in-person and virtually, across a globally diverse audience base.
  • Strong reputation working with interdisciplinary teams as being innovative, accountable, reliable, and able to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
  • Instructional design and curriculum development experience
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint & Google Suite
  • Proficient in LMS systems, information learning tools, communities and web conferencing tools.
