powertofly approved What RebelMouse Has to Offer:

Simply put we know the CEO, Andrea, very very well. She is married to our cofounder, Milena Berry, and has helped us pioneer so many of the cultural principals at PowerToFly focused on helping people belong no matter their gender. Andrea has four kids, a strict work from home (or where you're most productive) policy, and she is one of the strongest entrepreneurs out there.

Andrea was formerly the CTO of Huffington Post (she was named Paul Berry then) and literally built the tech that propelled the company from a small blog to a powerhouse that was bought by AOL. She was also the CTO of AOL after the acquisition. Our other cofounder, Katharine Zaleski, got to work closely with Andrea when she was at Huffington Post too. It was a thrilling experience and Katharine continues to get advice from Andrea today. Join RebelMouse - you won't regret it! Oh and Andrea hires great people who we could write entire blogs about... but we have character limits on these pages :)

Who We Are

RebelMouse is a company with a culture built by engineers for engineers. We believe in creative developers who have product ideas and love understanding the business and problems, not just having solutions handed to them.

We are an entirely distributed team. Our bar for geography is none. But our bar for talent is very high. We work in sprints with coordinated team efforts. We use JIRA and support each other in all tasks.

You will work with the smartest people in the world on some of the highest traffic sites globally. RebelMouse serves 260 million page views monthly on average for some of the coolest properties on the web: hub.united.com, laverita.info, mother.ly, axios.com, thedodo.com.

If you don’t want to be tied to an office chair and like the idea of being able to work from any place, we embrace digital nomads. No matter where, when, or how long you work on something, the key requirement is to deliver!

Diversity matters a lot to us. Our founder and CEO is gender fluid and we are a very safe, positive, and loving environment.

Who We're Looking For

You're smart and curious, so you figured out how to code because it's relevant to the modern world. By now, you're tired of being treated like a code monkey — you're too smart to be kept in that box.

You love solving problems, you love to have ideas, and you can build a project, fall in love with it, and make it a big part of the internet.

You understand that issues need to be followed through until they’re truly solved. You stay ahead of them and handle them seamlessly, but when the kettle is boiling you have no problem keeping your cool and getting the task done.

Skillset

• Your skillset needs to include CSS, HTML, and JavaScript experience. We embrace React + Material Design, but it's not required. Experience implementing ads is a plus.

• Client service is a key part of this role. You'll be the bond between our developer team and the client, so it's crucial that you understand our platform's features, what the client needs, and how to handle communication between both.

• This role needs you to handle spoken and written English, but don't be embarrassed if you have an accent!

Equal Opportunity Statement

We are mostly women, minorities, and LGBT, and we're led by a transgender CEO.

Mission
We're a community of women leveraging our connections into top companies to help underrepresented women get the roles they've always deserved. Simultaneously, we work to build truly inclusive hiring processes and environments where women can thrive and not just survive.
