L3 Technologies Communication Systems-West (CSW) is currently seeking a Customer Training Instructor. The successful candidate will develop training courseware using PowerPoint and/or developing story boards to be used in Adobe Captivate. The Trainer will validate the training courseware is accurate during engineering reviews and verify the training courseware during hands-on equipment verification. The Training Instructor will travel to conduct training courseware at Military sites in the United States or International sites. Due to the nature of L3 CSW contracts, this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance. Approximately 30% travel is required. Instructs customer (military) technical personnel and evaluates student progress.
This candidate should possess:
Ten years experience in developing military training courseware
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Adobe Captivate or other Computer Based Training (CBT) software
Interacts with L3 CSW engineers, customer representatives, subject matter experts, vendors, customers and technical personnel, and internal graphic art staff
Competent interaction skills with all levels of L3 CSW employees
Experience in project and time management
develop course curricula, methodology and training materials such as simulations, instructional videos and other visual and audio training aids
research and analyze detailed technical processes and extract technical information
format documents to meet contract requirements
recognize and act upon documentation inconsistencies
write using proper grammar and punctuation
adapt to changing priorities
learn new software and producing results in a short period of time.
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing/English/Journalism or equivalent training and/or work experience
Minimum of ten years experience developing and instructing military personnel
Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Adobe Captivate and Adobe Acrobat
Military service a plus
30% travel required
Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
Out of State candidates must be willing to relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah.
Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.
