We are searching for a dynamic Campaign Team Leader to work out of Washington DC. As the Cabled Ocean Systems (COS) Campaign Team Leader you will work closely with L3 MariPro division, CSC division, and the MSS (Maritime Sensor Systems) Sector leadership.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead the campaign to capture business in the COS business area. This is a new business area for L3 with an addressable market of $200M to $400M per year. The business includes major systems which will be procured every 2 to 3 years for decades into the future.
Assemble a campaign team, to be located in the Washington DC area, possible Crystal City.
Work closely with two divisions supporting the campaign, MariPro and CSC with a direct report to the President of the Maritime Sensors Sector (MSS).
Develop strategic plan for the campaign, and integrate this plan with the strategic, BD and revenue plans of the involved divisions.
Manage the IRAD programs already underway for COS, including any required changes to those plans resulting from Strategic decisions, or future events.
Coordinate with relevant divisions in managing any initial development contracts awarded to those divisions for development of COS technology.
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Physics or other technical field.
15+ years’ experience working on DoD Undersea Systems as an operator, prime contractor or subcontractor for a large prime in Submarine, ASW or undersea systems.
Currently at a Director level within organization reporting directly to the head of a business unit. Has served as a thought partner to the business leadership, helping to inform, influence and drive key business decisions.
Has performed both a market and competitive analysis in order to create a strategic roadmap for growing the business. This includes identifying potential strategic alliances, product line enhancements as well as competitive positioning for specific pursuits.
Have been or are currently in a leadership role in successful pursuit and capture of large DOD program competitive business greater than $100M.
Have performed as Program Manager for US DoD Undersea System. May include industry IRAD program.
Specific experience selling underwater acoustic, undersea sensors, data acquisition and Cabled Ocean Systems.
5+ years of experience in Business Development with US Navy customers.
Demonstrated leadership of diverse Navy and civilian organizations including senior level personnel. Experience leading a BD team.
Prior US Navy experience commanding operational or staff unit.
Track record of attracting, hiring, developing, and retaining “A” talent. Recognized as an effective leader in a highly matrixed environment. Motivate, coach and inspire a variety of personnel types.
