The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for data mining and analyzing manufacturing processes to increase overall throughput, improve quality and reduce waste. This position will also be responsible for preparing and presenting analytical and business results to management of manufacturing and engineering functions.
Successful candidate will possess the skills and experience in following areas:
Knowledge of manufacturing engineering business objectives and practices
Proven ability to analyze and improve manufacturing processes
Ability to de velop metrics and dashboards
Experience in SQL, VBA, etc. or desire and ability to learn
Skilled in Statistical Analysis, Risk Assessment, and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies
Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environment.
Presentation and Technical Communication
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively to accomplish tasks, share best practices, and present results and findings
Ability to communicate technical data throughout vertical and horizontal organizational levels
Graphic Design, User Interface, Application development skills
Mental Flexibility/ Creative Problem Solving
Non-traditional problem solving methods
Adaptability to learn new skills
Ability to maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times.
This position requires a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or equivalent.
MBA with an emphasis in Operations is a plus.
Proficiency with MS Office and statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.
Experience with SAP and Teamcenter in a defense manufacturing environment Experience implementing SPC concepts.
Technical background in communication systems.
Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.
Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
