    The growth of Pharmaceutical outsourcing means we have a new role in the team focused on the development of business in Contract Organisations such as CMO’s, CDMO’s, CRO’s and CTO’s.

     

    As Regional Key Account Manager for CO, you are an ambassador of Waters and will be the sales responsible for CXO/CDMOs Accounts across Central Europe. Your role is to bring Waters’ products and services to the Pharmaceutical Contract Organisations within the region. The candidate will demonstrate a clear understanding of Contract Organisations business and growth plans and will be able to take that knowledge and convert it into solutions and offering from Waters, with the primary aim of bringing “customer success”.  Working closely with the EMEA Contract Organisations Marketing Development manager you will implement a sales approach focused on accelerating the growth of Waters business within the Contract Organisations. This position brings a great degree of flexibility working in the field. The role will be based in Germany and is embedded in the local organisation.

    Responsibilities:
    • Grow territory Contract Organisation business in line with growth target expectations
    • Collaborate closely with EMEA Contract Organisation Market Development Manager to implement sales strategy. Including Account Based marketing program.
    • Preparing business plans, territory plans, reports and relevant product solution documents for customers;
    • Planning, and executing the customer demonstrations with collaboration of the demo lab specialists;
    • Collaborating, liaising and providing guidance and support across departments to ensure customer success. You will be working closely with all other groups at Waters (e.g. Chemistry Operation, Service and Informatics etc.);
    • Planning and prioritising personal time and sales activities;
    • Managing the product mix and pricing to meet desired targets;
    • Adhering to Waters and customers relevant Health, Safety and Environment requirements when on site and as an individual employee;
    • Using and updating the CRM, sales force, on a daily basis to ensure accurate forecasting;
    • Participating in additional Sales related projects and activities as designated by management.
    • Since the focus is on Germany, the candidate will ideally live between Cologne - Frankfurt

     

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    •  Bachelor or Masters Degree in Science;

     

    Experience:

     

    • Expertise in the outsourcing of Pharmaceutical research, laboratory analysis and drug manufacturing ideally working for a Contract organisation (CRO, CMO or CDMO)
    • Technical knowledge and practical solution selling experience, ideally in LC and LC/MS
    • Experience in a laboratory, with a background in chromatography and mass spectrometry;

     

    Competencies:

     

    • Experience of Pharmaceutical Outsourcing would be ideal
    • Highly passionate individual with charisma, perseverance and determination, plus the ability to work effectively in competitive sales situations;
    • Customer focused with very good listening skills;
    • Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex technical issues;
    • Good interpersonal skills with a positive sense of humour and is able to contributing as part of an integrated sales/service organisation;
    • Good priority setting and organisational skills;
    • Knowledge of computers and the use of standard Windows based packages (knowledge of a Waters chromatography or mass spectrometry data system “EMPOWER” would also be desirable)
    • Applicants for this position should be fluent in German and English (written and verbal). French and/or Dutch language skills are of added value.

     

    Travel (If Applicable):

    • A clean driving license and a valid passport will be required.
    • This is a Central European territory-based position, with a German focus, which will include travelling within your designated territory and overnight stays throughout the territory (GE and SZ).
    • Additional occasional travel to other countries for activities such as governance of department, local business support, meetings and training will also be required.
    • A disclosure of any criminal convictions may be required as some of our customers work in sensitive and confidential government areas
