Job Title:

Senior Associate, Finance – Controllership

Job Summary:

We are seeking to hire an individual with approx. 3-6 years public accounting related experience. This position will contribute to the successful operation of Controllership group. The group performs the month end ledger close process and prepares the year to date financial reporting to the agencies we support and parent company that totals in excess of 90 balance sheets and 150 income statements. The group also provides bank and account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and reporting, intercompany balancing and audit coordination to the Publicis companies we support.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet and P&L Reporting Packages for submission to supported agencies and parent company, including top-side adjustments/reclassifications and completion of support schedules.
  • Preparation of balance sheet and P&L analysis and reconciliations
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets including preparation of monthly depreciation journal entries.
  • Preparation of audit schedules as required.
  • Interaction with various financial personnel at the operational units to resolve issues as they arise
  • Follow and enforce parent company accounting policies and procedures.
Experience Guidelines:
  • 3-6 years of experience in public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Understanding of IFRS accounting principles preferred
  • Knowledge of account reconciliation procedures.
  • Knowledge of a general ledger package.
  • Strong MS Office skills especially in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Flexible to work after hours to meet reporting deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management reporting systems a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Team player and is able to adapt/adhere to changing priorities
  • Ability to complete deadline oriented tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proven work ethic
  • BS in Accountancy
  • CPA Preferred
