We are looking for a Design Community Coordinator to join our Creative team. You have the interpersonal skills of a recruiter mixed with the industry knowledge of a designer. Whether you are engaging with the design community through social media or organizing a design industry event, you’re someone who loves to connect with creative people and can identify great design talent when you see it.

What you get to do everyday:
  • Work closely with the VP of Global Design to further grow and optimize our world-class team of product and brand designers
  • Help to lead outreach between the Zendesk design department and the external design community
  • Identify top design talent and help educate them about job opportunities at Zendesk
  • Plan and execute offline events such as design talks, networking events and happy hours
  • Interact closely with our recruiting department by providing strategic introductions to top design talent
  • Attend design events and stay abreast of key topics in the industry
What you bring to the role:
  • BFA or similar and a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience working within the design industry
  • Experience in recruiting or talent management within the creative industry is a plus
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal and ability to influence direction across all disciplines within the organization
  • General understanding of interaction design, visual design and current topics of interest within the design industry
  • Capable of critiquing design portfolios and evaluating product design and communication design projects
