We are looking for a Senior Manager of Operations, Engineering/Chief of Staff to join our Engineering leadership team in San Francisco. In this role, you will report to the SVP of Engineering to drive operational effectiveness in Engineering. Your job as Senior Manager of Operations, Engineering is to work with the SVP of Engineering to identify key programs and then drive them forward. You drive operational effectiveness by establishing an operating rhythm to keep the trains running effectively (e.g. staff meetings, gather metrics, quarterly planning, project status reporting, monthly and quarterly reviews). You drive team alignment on key initiatives. You get your kicks by facilitating cross-team and cross-geo interactions to ensure programs you drive meet shared goals.

Partner closely with the SVP of Engineering to drive key programs and initiatives around Engineering operational effectiveness
Work with the SVP of Engineering to think strategically about the programs that will improve the day-to-day operations within Engineering, and with key stakeholders such as Operations and Product Management
Understand key company priorities/goals and how the Engineering organization’s structure and operations may need to change to meet those goals
Drive several programs at a time, ensuring clear and proactive communication and follow up with participants and stakeholders, to ensure program goals are met
Apply strategic thinking to the prioritization of programs.
Identify and track key milestones to get a program from start to finish
Use analytics to inform your approach and to measure the effectiveness of each program.
Cultivate a culture of openness and transparency to increase the likelihood of program success

What you bring to the role:
BS/BA or equivalent and a MINIMUM of 5+ years in a Software Program Management role
Experience at a software company driving large-scale SaaS programs within an Engineering organization
Proven track record of setting up and driving broad, complex programs across an organization
Ability to proactively identify problem areas and then mobilize the right people to solve them
An interest in gathering and using data to analyze current state and determine next steps
Exceptional organizational, planning, collaboration, influencing and prioritization skills
Ability to facilitate productive meetings that people look forward to attending
An understanding of the challenges faced by cross-geo teams and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to solve them
