The VP of Digital Publishing is a new role within AMC Networks designed to bring increased direct-to-consumer capabilities to the digital leadership team. The role will report to the SVP of Digital and be responsible for leading a team to achieve aggressive business growth goals across the portfolio of global digital products.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive with proven expertise in building a digital publishing team. S/he will bring a blend of strategic, creative, analytical and leadership skills with a deep knowledge in the game and mobile industry. Critical to the role is the commitment to challenge the status quo, and build processes to consistently set a world-class product experience. Comfort with agile transformation and a relentless focus on quality and financial results will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build a global team charged with publishing a portfolio of internal and externally developed games and entertainment experiences.
  • Set the strategy for brand and marketing efforts and partner with the development teams to maximize the lifetime potential of each game.
  • Lead the development of launch and sustain plans across creative, media, PR, community management, marketplaces and key partners.
  • Set franchise strategy plans supported by revenue/AOI and market research to establish forecasts on a per title basis. Own the execution and reporting of the plans.
  • Elevate BI capabilities to drive player insights, engagement and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Construct integrated processes for publishing and build a roadmap for enabling technology/tools.
  • Partner with consumer insights, business development, and innovation to identify emerging projects for games and new IP development.
  • Actively drive investment decisions from consumer marketing to AMC Ventures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15+ years of digital / media experience, 7+ years in game publishing.
  • A passion for quality and commitment to the consumer experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital products and consumer trends with a focus on apps and games.
  • Ability to analyze data for target UA/mediation strategies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
  • Exceptionally high energy level, high sense of urgency and a passion for creating new technologies.
  • Proven ability to build, cultivate and motivate highly creative teams.
  • Technical savvy with ability to translate to senior management.
  • Solution-oriented and proactive, with ability to deliver fast-cycle software.
  • Deep knowledge of interactive disciplines and technologies.
  • Expertise in business models across platforms, with a focus on free-to-play games
  • Master’s degree.
