Cloud Full Stack Developer – AWS or Azure
Do you want to be at the forefront of Deloitte’s growing Cloud practice? We’re looking for exceptional leaders to help address our clients’ most complex Cloud challenges. You will work alongside top engineers and technical thought leaders to solve difficult problems in innovative ways, supporting our country’s most vital missions.
Work you’ll do:
Work with clients to understand and solve their most pressing business and technical challenges while leading a diverse talent group in support of Federal and State Government agencies. Develop trusted advisor relationships with clients’ technology leaders and help guide clients’ Cloud vision. Create new opportunities to showcase Cloud technologies and capabilities for our clients. Help lead our Cloud practice, develop our future Cloud leaders, and expand the Deloitte Cloud brand throughout the public sector marketplace.
The team:
Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our clients’ end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients by improving agility and resilience, while identifying opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation. We advance our clients toward a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators, to achieve their vision.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
- 3+ years as a full stack developer designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large scale applications
- 3+ years of designing and coding applications using procedural and object-oriented programming techniques
- Possess and maintain the required Security Clearance (Interim Secret or above)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Focus:
- Expertise in Java / J2EE, Python, and JavaScript programming and related IDEs
- Expertise in AWS SDKs, such as Boto3 for Python or AWS Java SDK
- Experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, Lambda, EC2, VPC, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, ECS, EKS, Route53, ELB/ALB
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, ORM tools such as Hibernate, and relational/NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Cassandra, Mongo
- Desired AWS Certifications:
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
Azure Focus:
- Expertise in Java / J2EE / C# / .Net Core / Python, and JavaScript programming and related IDEs
- Experience with Azure services such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions and ARM templates
- Familiarity with frameworks such as MVC, and relational/NoSQL databases such as MySQL
- Desired Azure Certifications:
- Azure Certified Developer – Associate
- Azure Certified Solutions Architect – Expert
AWS & Azure Focus:
- Experience with building and deploying applications as containers using Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of industry standards such as OpenAPI, REST, OpenID, oAuth2.0
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node, Angular
- Experience with source code management tools such as GitLab and CI/CD pipelines using native AWS or third-party tools, such as GitLab Runners and Jenkins
- Knowledge of computer infrastructure, such as networking, firewalls, load balancers, and auto-scaling
- Ability to support tools needed to run cloud environment, e.g. authentication and access management, monitoring and logging, and frameworks/tools such as Active Directory, Centrify, ELK, or equivalent.
- Self-starter with eagerness to learn and ability to solve problems
- Strong written and oral communication skills
