Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business.
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases such as DB2 and SQL Server, proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software, a broad variety of vendor products, numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities, and programming languages ranging from .Net and Java to Cobol and VB.Net.
Core Platform Services (CPS) partners with Wealth Management development teams and partner technology organizations to enable the delivery of technology solutions to our business in the most efficient, predictable manner possible

Position Overview:
As a QA Lead in WM CPS SQE you’ll have a chance to design & develop testing approach & strategy and execute critical M&A programs that will include all interfaces, data and teams working together to perform testing of integration points, the flow of data through integrations and the timing of data flows

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical and thought leadership to testing teams as Wealth Management digitally transform to a cloud based, DevOps and Agile technology solution
  • Provide oversight and technical direction for the test engineering lifecycle to include requirements analysis, test design, system integration requirements verification, deployment and helping ensure overall configuration management of the product satisfying cost, schedule and specifications allocated to the program to achieve
  • Design & develop strategy for large scale data conversion programs and define pre-requisite components to establish and enable right testing model
  • Must be knowledgeable of standard testing best practices, such as test environments, test documentation, test results, defect tracking and handling, data testing, interface testing, and user interface testing
  • Prepare, evaluate and implement corrective action plans based on integration and test metrics, coordinate the performance and monitoring of integration activities verifying compliance with established plans, and establish and provide estimates, schedules and written proposals for new efforts
  • Collaborate with Business, Operations, and Technology leads to develop, build out, and execute Integration programs
  • Responsible for crafting and executing a Strategic game plan that includes Resource Management, Budget and Forecast Allocations, Team and Individual Goal Setting, Education and Implementation of Agile Methodology, Build-Out of Automation Portfolio, and Training.
  • Lead team and ensure appropriate tools and methodologies are engaged.
  • Represent collective testing teams within meetings with Senior Leadership
  • Review requirement specifications, identify gaps, and determine testability and testing implications
  • Work with Test Manager and other Test Analysts to plan and execute testing tasks
  • Ensure that team is in full compliance with the execution of test scripts and documentation of the results.
  • Perform periodic oversight of test reports to ensure that appropriate severities and priorities are being assessed to defects
  • Work with Training and Communication personnel to craft a game plan to ensure a smooth rollout to the field where applicable
  • Foster and develop employees and manage vendor resources
