Customer Marketing Manager

AppNexus is looking for a driven and data-savvy Customer Marketing Manager to support the strategy and execution of AppNexus’ marketplace evangelism efforts. This candidate will play a critical role developing marketing programs to promote key AppNexus supply sources to demand partners, working with top strategic clients to identify co-marketing opportunities and customer success stories, and building global assets and materials to help support market-making activities. The candidate will work in partnership with commercial teams and cross-channel marketing constituents.

About the team:

The AppNexus Commercial Marketing team is embedded in the commercial organization and works in close coordination with sales and account managers to evangelize the company’s product strategy and roadmap, drive new and incremental business opportunities and generate awareness in regional markets. The team also works closely with our Product Marketing and Corporate Marketing and Communications organizations to ensure that company messaging resonates most effectively in local markets and in the field.

About the job:
  • Support the development of a compelling story for AppNexus across the United States and deploy global messaging narratives that align with our buyside go-to-market priorities
  • Develop actionable market insights: monitor competition, understand industry trends, explore regional and segment behaviors
  • Build measurable marketing campaigns that help connect clients on the buy and sell sides of our business
  • Empower sales teams, customers and partners: build the sales tools and marketing programs that connect key audiences with the right AppNexus message at the right time
  • Analyze Salesforce and third-party data sources to develop insights and build an accurate picture of the US market opportunity
  • Assess the efficacy of all marketing initiatives and projects using detailed and measurable metrics
  • Build the process as we go: break new ground and find new ways of working as we scale the organization
About your skills and experience:
  • 5 years of experience in B2B marketing including account-based marketing, field marketing, marketing automation, and content marketing OR 5 years in account management or sales with desire to evolve skillset in a marketing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with and influence various functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong writing, storytelling, communication, project management, and time management skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in the programmatic or digital advertising landscape, particularly in the video space would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of systems and developing scalable tool kits is a plus
