Director, Product Marketing

AppNexus is an internet technology company that powers the real-time sale and purchase of digital advertising. We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing professional to join our Product Marketing team, reporting to the VP of Product Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for building compelling marketing content and materials designed to increase awareness and adoption of our platform. You will have a deep understanding of our technology stack in order to produce best in class product marketing materials to gain new clients and drive further adoption onto the platform for existing clients. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing team at AppNexus.

About the job:
  • Develop and communicate highly differentiated product positioning and messaging for our buy side product line that promote customer adoption and drive business growth
  • Develop customer, competitor and market insights and build buyer personas
  • Develop Marketing Plan and own external-facing product launch process for new products targeted at both existing and potential AppNexus customers
  • Deliver high-quality written product materials and collateral (customer success stories, case studies etc) designed to improve communication with customers
  • Partner with Product to understand the value of new products and evangelize solutions both internally and externally
  • Work closely with leadership, Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams to achieve strategic goals
  • Track and measure the impact of marketing efforts
  • Participate in customer segmentation and analysis activities
About your skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or relevant field of study is preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in B2B SaaS product marketing
  • Track record of successfully launching and growing complex technical products; Solid understanding of how complex, technical environments work, from both a people and product standpoint
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling marketing content and materials for both new and existing products.
  • Entrepreneurial in nature
  • Passionate about customers, problem solving and executing against strategy
  • Shown success in managing complex and multi-faceted marketing programs and driving projects to completion
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, with the ability to cater messaging and delivery to various audiences
  • Strong leader who can drive consensus
