Leadership & Management Development Lead

Our Learning & Development team (called People Growth) is at the center of this mandate and to accelerate our progress, we are hiring a Leadership & Management development Lead, who will design, build and execute a leadership development strategy. The role involves internal analysis, alignment and external benchmarking to recommend and implement a suite of leadership offerings and interventions as well as provide timely and meaningful experiences to AppNexus executives. A formal understanding of program and curriculum design, as well as an ability to create a contemporary strategy for the development of aspiring, new, and senior executives will be essential for this role.

About the job:
  • Translate business objectives and challenges into Leadership Development strategies that drive business impact
  • Be a trusted advisor / consultant to the business by building the necessary relationships to prepare and influence the education, experiences and exposures available (or which need to be created) to develop our business leaders
  • Own design of leadership interventions, introducing new and innovative ideas to drive business value such as manager training, hi-potential programs, leadership development programs and professional skill courses.
  • Build capabilities internally with limited reliance on external vendors for generic, off-the-shelf content
  • Collaborate with Succession planning and Inclusion organizations on talent identification and development planning as an integral effort to executing our holistic leadership development process
  • Manage program delivery to ensure effective and timely execution of program and project goals, including leveraging external partners where applicable
  • Facilitate leadership programs and/or interventions and conduct individual coaching or consultations with senior leader participants as needed
About your skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required and advance degree (MA/PhD) in learning, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology or related field preferred
  • 7 years of learning and development experience and a minimum of 3 years of leadership development experience preferred
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in leadership development methodology, adult learning theory and instructional design, as well as experience in facilitation of leadership development programs
  • Ability to effectively explain complex concepts and think creatively and interdisciplinary, leveraging current academic research to inform innovative business focused solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively interface and collaborate with stakeholders and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in the Technology industry with highly agile and fast paced environment preferred
