Program Manager

The Program Manager works with industry-leading partners to define digital advertising strategy and manage complex programs. This includes qualification, design, development, production, and commercialization of programs, ranging from those which span multiple regions to new initiatives that have no pre-existing playbook. While the programs are often technology focused, the Program Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with external clients and internal stakeholders across the business and technical organizations. The Program Manager will have oversight of inter-related programs, manage cross-program dependencies and will drive consultation and strategy at a higher-level than can be achieved at the individual project or program levels. About the job:
  • Partner with the Account Management teams as the Services lead to qualify, scope, prioritize, and allocate resources for new programs for strategic clients
  • Develop plans, goals, milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation for programs
  • Execute program delivery effectively, coordinating change management to minimize impact where necessary
  • Optimize decisions across multiple programs, trading off between quality, resources, scope and time
  • Identify and investigate internal business or technical process improvements to diagnose issues and propose solutions
  • Define playbooks for new product initiatives
  • Develop program management best practices, contribute to the team knowledge base and share learnings with other AppNexus teams
About your skills:
  • Passionate about working in an extremely fast-paced, demanding, and fluid start-up environment
  • Ability to manage multiple complex and integrated technical programs requiring resources spanning many functional groups
  • Ability to influence client strategy and Strategic Accounts long-term planning
  • Capable of executing on program tasks when required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders at a technical, business, operational and executive level
  • Versatile, with excellent organizational and program management skills
  • Experience in digital advertising a plus
