We are currently looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join Thales e-Security, a subsidiary of Thales USA, in Plantation Florida.

The Assistant Finance Business Partner reports financial status of business results by preparing and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, and reports.The Assistant Business Partner’s job description primarily involves gathering financial information, analyzing it and making recommendations.This position will have an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review and distribute monthly financial reports in support of Business Operations Reviews
  • Tracks financial status by monitoring P&L variances from plan
  • Prepare monthly consolidation and executive financial packages
  • Coordinate financials questions/answers among various Thales Organizations
  • Track expenses vs. budget, analyze variance and prepare monthly cost center expense reports
  • Assist in the annual budget & monthly reforecast process
  • Help maintain budget and reforecast information in the financial reporting package (Adaptive Insights)
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models
  • Assist in the administration and development of the financial reporting package
  • Increases productivity by developing automated financial models; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements
  • Provides information for management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports and making presentations of findings
  • Any other duties or tasks as assigned

Skills and Experience:

·A minimum of 3 years’ experience reporting, consolidation and financial analysis.Accounting/GAAP knowledge

·Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office

·Strong knowledge of Excel and experience working with financial models

·Demonstrated abilities in Forecasting, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Budgeting

·Strong mathematical aptitude

·Strong initiative

·Ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work to deadline

·Ability to complete projects timely and accurately

·Ability to prioritize and follow through on assigned tasks

·Excellent time management and organizational skills

·Must be capable of working in a matrix environment

·Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level

·Effective communications, and presentation skills, both internally and externally

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree with Finance, Accounting concentration
