Our vendor ecosystem is a strategically important area for Global Operations to support our growth, creating empathy with our community at this scale is a challenge no other company has solved before, and requires talent that can add thought leadership in this area.The Global Partner Strategy (GPS) team is seeking a Strategic Project Manager to drive cross-functional projects and programs within Facebooks vendor ecosystem. Reporting to the GPS Strategic Planning Manager, you will be working closely with a variety of internal business partners and our external vendors to implement Scaled Operations vendor ecosystem improvements. The right candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment. You will be results orientated, have exceptional organizational skills, strong project management discipline, show strong stakeholder engagement and show strategic thinking.

  • Lead a pipeline of projects and initiatives that impact Facebooks global vendor ecosystem and enable outsourcing operations that help improve our community experience and support
  • Frame and scope the problem statement, work with cross-functional stakeholders at various levels as well as our external partners to propose optimal strategic solutions, communicate approach for the initiatives, execute ruthlessly to ensure project impact.
  • Partner and drive collaboration with cross-functional teams (such as Partner Operations & Enablement, Markets, Quality, Training, Workforce Management etc.) to enable outsourcing operations that help improve our community experience and support.
  • Translate business requirements into implementation plans and ruthlessly prioritise deliverables.
  • Proactively identify potential risks or issues with project implementation and drive communication with internal and external stakeholders during projects.
  • Inform solutions and provide strategic perspectives around our vendor management approach in support of our global vendor partner engagement, planning process and footprint management.
  • Play an active role by contributing to improving operational efficiency, processes and support vendor ecosystem solutions.
  • Support the Global Outsource team by shaping business requirements as a key input for contract management across various sites.
  • Contribute to the development of the long-term vendor strategy with out-of-the-box, innovative thinking


  • 5+ years Project Management experience, with expertise in strategic planning, process management, operations-based projects and a strong track record in implementation of these projects.
  • Highly organized, fast-paced executor, able to deliver in a systematic manner with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in consulting, operations or a vendor management related discipline
  • Experience working with diverse internal and external stakeholders at various levels across multiple geographic regions.
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Capacity for approximately 20% international travel.


  • PMP certification or similar
  • Experience with vendor management
  • Experience with contract management
  • Experience with RFI and RFP processes.
  • Power BI and/or Tableau experience
