Director, Commercial Marketing, Americas

The AppNexus Marketing team is embedded in the commercial organization and works in close coordination with sales and account managers to evangelize the company’s product strategy and roadmap, drive new and incremental business opportunities, and generate awareness in regional markets. The team also works closely with our Product Marketing organization to ensure that company messaging resonates most effectively in local markets and in the field.

About the job:

At the core, we are looking for someone with a passion for helping other people do better and be more effective through the lens of field/commercial marketing. The Director, Commercial Marketing will:

  • Partner deeply with the leaders of Americas Sales organizations to define, plan and execute regionally focused marketing strategies that include demand generation, regional events, partner marketing programs, VIP dinners, and other initiatives and programs to support the Sales team in exceeding their revenue targets
  • Collaborate with the wider Corporate Marketing, Corporate Communications, Product Marketing, Sales and Services teams in the areas of field marketing, digital marketing, and demand generation, as well as provide a conduit for field insights to pass back to the rest of the Marketing organization
  • Develop and manage strategic marketing plans and budgets, and drive analytics to assess and continually improve effectiveness
  • Partner with key clients and partners to co-market and maximize market effectiveness of our relationships

About your skills and experience:

  • Ability to drive Sales team revenue results through Field Marketing efforts in a data-driven analytical environment
  • 10+ years’ overall professional experience including experience relevant to demand generation or field marketing experience in a B2B tech organization
  • Ability to manage a set of cross-functional stakeholder relationships across sales, account management, and the wider marketing teams to find alignment and drive effective outcomes for all participants and the business
  • Sales, sales management, cross-regional, and/or adtech experience will all be seen as a significant plus
  • Proven record of partnering with Sales teams to help them achieve and surpass revenue targets
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of working cross-functionally to build relationships
  • Outstanding storytelling abilities that build content amplification in the market
