Integrated Marketing Director

The Integrated Marketing Director will oversee the creative positioning of our branded content strategy across all of ATM's sites: Apartment Therapy and Kitchn. As a creative pioneer with a passion for developing unique partner solutions, the IMD will specialize in ideating on innovative new content formats and subjects that marries ATM's publishing ethos with a brand's purpose and mission. Reporting to the VP, Sales, the IMD will have expertise in lifestyle content, manage Integrated Marketing Manager and Specialists, and leverage editorial relationships with each of our sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead creative ideation for partners, making their brands feel at home with our premium audience
  • Responsible for overseeing the creation of first-class original proposals that uphold ATM properties' editorial values while incorporating client goals
  • Manages how our brands' stories are presented and conveyed through visual and verbal identity
  • Oversee all editorial operations for the branded offering including pre-sale ideation and integration into the post sales process with our branded content production arm, the Creative Studio
  • Manage, recruit, and train Integrated Marketing staff
  • Build campaigns that target a variety of client KPIs (including brand awareness, purchase intent, and consumer relevance) while hitting audience metrics
  • Interface directly with clients' marketers, brand managers, and social media teams
  • Leverage data insights from campaigns to both create more powerful content and tell a campaign success story
  • Assist in determining sales and edit product needs in order to help launch key category sales strategy
  • Develop innovative ideas for category anchors and partner with Sales Management to ignite sales team momentum
  • Work with the VP to develop best practices for proposals for RFPs and advertisers at all spend levels
  • Partner with sales and sales marketing teams on the key tenets of messaging, pitching, marketing materials and presentations
  • Help lead key account sales meetings from an idea creation perspective
  • Build individual brand equity for each of ATM's sites
  • Liaise with editorial to shape revenue generating custom ideas

Experience:

  • At least seven (7+) years experience in digital creative roles of ascending responsibility
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong writing and design skills and showcases thorough, premium, original proposals for RFPs
  • Proven track record of developing creative advertising and native solutions for major brands across a variety of consumer categories
  • Experience launching new digital platforms or products highly desired
  • Experience managing content teams a must
  • Experience collaborating with product teams is highly desired
  • Extensive experience with native and branded content software and tools
  • Deep understanding of audience acquisition channels (social, email, etc)
  • Strong analytics experience using Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Sales Force and other tools
