Events Specialist

Our dedicated events focus on our partners’ hiring goals and allow companies the opportunity and creativity to showcase what makes their workplace diverse and inclusive. We are searching for someone passionate about making the world a more equitable place!

Communication, both verbal and written, is a vital component of the role for both our external partners and within PowerToFly. You will work closely with other teams to bring our customized events, both virtual and in-person, to life.

Additionally, proven project management expertise is critical as you will manage multiple events at different stages within the planning process. With this in mind, attention to detail and organization are major factors determining success in this fast-paced role.

The ideal candidate must also be able and willing to consult clients on DEI best practices and methodology. As such, a vested interest in expanding economic opportunities to underrepresented groups must be central to your core values.   • Manage event registration pages and promotions to the target audience
  • Act as a consultant on DEI best practices during event planning and post-event interview phase
  • Curate and manage RSVP Lists using the PowerToFly platform
  • Manage multiple event logistics including hosts/emcees, check-ins, event recordings, etc.
  • Create presentation materials/agendas, provide documentation, and prep participants for events
  • Manage post-event attendee survey feedback
  • Assist with any post-event measures/steps
  • Secure hires and offers through coordinated post-event engagement efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of event coordination and talent recruiting/sourcing experience (IT/Tech industry highly preferred)
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • High-energy and positive attitude
  • Capacity to learn new processes/tools easily
  • 100% alignment with PowerToFly’s mission and affinity for diversity in the workplace

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Knowledge of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Google Meets, and Skype
  • Experience with Gmail (Email and Google Calendar) and Slack
  • Expertise with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Etc.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Boolean search, ATS, and other sourcing tools
