The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead cross functional teams to drive the delivery of complex SaaS, Enterprise, and IT projects. It will be your responsibility to keep all the players focused and coordinated on the project's scope and deadlines to drive projects to completion with a high level of quality. This will be achieved through the management of the team, schedules, risks, issues, with clear communication to stakeholders on progress. You will be able to understand and articulate the business and technical implications of decisions that are being made by your project teams, while managing stakeholder relationships to ensure successful delivery.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field is highly desired
  • 5+ years of project/program management experience is required
  • Active PMP certification is required
  • Experience working within an IT department and experience managing projects in multiple project methodologies including scrum, Agile, and Lean Six Sigma
  • Strong understanding of technology concepts related to software, hardware and IT infrastructure
  • Communicate Effectively: Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques

  • Plan: Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results
  • Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new concepts or domains to be able to uncover risks and guide management as well as project staff


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow the prescribed Project Management process to ensure the delivery of projects to the agreed time, budget and level of quality
  • Ensure compliance obligations are adequately documented and met in the project outcomes
  • Shows initiative by being proactive to any topic instead of reactive
  • Participate in process improvement and contribute to department objectives
  • Central point of contact for project timeline and delivery
  • As the acting scrum master:
    • Lead scrum teams in moderate to difficult complexity projects. Oversee scrum process and coach the teams on how to use scrum and Agile practices and methodology.
    • Facilitate transparency, inspection, and adaption.
    • Lead daily scrums, sprint reviews, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement. Manage interdependencies between scrum teams
  • Mentor and train other Project Management family members, inside and outside the department
  • Coordinate with other Project Management team members on dependencies and potential risk
  • Create project plans for deliverables outside of the scrum teams
  • Complete weekly project status reports
  • Communicate timeline changes and risks/issues to stakeholders and propose possible solutions
  • Create release plans, release readiness, and release coordination
  • Conduct project health checks and adjust resources, scope, or timelines with approvals as needed
  • Remove delivery roadblocks and follow-up on deliverables
