Position Summary

The Platform Practice team is part of the Marketing Sciences organization, and focuses on the strategic set up, capture, curation, and analysis of data. We offer implementation and operation of client-side audience data management technologies, with an emphasis on Consumer Data Platforms (Treasure Data, Tealium, Sitecore) and selective Big Tech (Google, Adobe, Salesforce). Our full-service support starts with a holistic data strategy as the input, operation and management know-how, and analytics as the measurement output.

As part of our services, our team provides thought leadership and operation guidance to help clients launch their data activation needs. Our consultation and platform services connect our client’s platform and data strategy initiatives to align marketing and advertising technology stack to support existing business goals and sustain future growth.

We are seeking a Sr. Analyst, Platform Practice to provide hands-on support with platform operation, custom reporting and modeling initiatives. Projects will include platform maintenance, media performance analysis, audience insights, custom report creation, audience segmentation/syndication, and look-alike modeling. This position will be responsible for interpreting media performance and developing actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and ad-hoc analytic assignments and projects in support of the campaign management, client services and executive management teams
  • Apply independent critical thinking to analyze vast data sets to uncover insights and opportunities
  • Manipulate data sources to analyze our clients’ businesses across multiple dimensions (sales, brand equity, search interest, website visits, social media, advertising activity)
  • Data Extraction, Transformation & Loading (ETL), Quality & Hygiene
  • Create dashboards using a variety of data visualization tools
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with communication planners, media planners, buyers, clients and other partner agencies
  • Optimize and create opportunities through platforms, processes, data flow and pattern

Desired Skills & Experience

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Concentration in Statistics, Business or other analytic discipline preferred

Work Experience:

  • Must have experience working with large datasets to uncover insights that are essential to business optimizations
  • 2+ years of related business experience

Skills:

  • Master of numbers and analytical insights
  • An independent, extremely reliable person who is capable of running and leading an analytic project, but willing to seek guidance as needed
  • Strong ability to deliver concise and clear guidance based on insights from performance data
  • Knowledge of online media metrics, including online and offline analysis
  • Experience using data visualization tools (such as Tableau)
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases, SQL
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics packages helpful (SAS, Datamine, etc.)
  • Familiarity with advertising and marketing technologies and platforms related to digital media such as ad serving, web analytics, tag management, content management systems, web development is a plus
