Are you a user experience (UI/UX) designer with a passion for great web experiences? In this position, you will work on a team with other passionate designers, developers, and technical writers to improve our developer experience and help developers around the world best apply Esri tech.

  • Envision, influence, and design UX/UI solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes and mock-ups to conceptual presentations, user journeys, visual designs, technical documents, diagrams, and interactive prototypes
  • Synthesize complex requirements and convert them into relevant, intuitive, easy-to-use, and accessible designs
  • Drive overall design coherence by providing interaction and visual design guidance and reviews
  • Create visual designs for a responsive web app and produce production design specifications for the development team
  • Inspire the entire team, including your cross-functional partners, by bringing new ideas to the team
  • Have an opinion, use your voice, and share the value of UX activities with your team, stakeholders, and partners
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest responsive design patterns and technologies
  • 3-4 years of experience in user experience, web design, or interaction design, preferably with a focus on content design and information architecture
  • Experience with design software, such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Knowledge of best practices and user-centered design approaches
  • Strong graphic design skills with a good understanding of typography, intuitive layouts, user journeys, storytelling, and grid-based design
  • Hands-on experience designing for a consumer-facing website
  • Familiarity with designing for responsive websites
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Excellent written, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • A team player who can easily adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work in cooperative team environments
  • An online or PDF portfolio that demonstrates your design abilities and how you think
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in human computer interaction, graphic design, computer science or related field
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) and the ability to utilize user metrics into design action
  • Knowledge of qualitative and mixed-method UX research methodologies
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards, including I10n, i18n, and translation
  • Knowledge of geographic information system (GIS), mapping, and analysis applications a big plus
