The Additive Manufacturing Planner and Data Analyst role will be focused on maintaining system support, evaluating business processes and SAP best practices, and gathering and analyzing data for process improvement. This role requires SAP knowledge and data analytics skills.
The Planner and Data Analyst will also be responsible for planning within the site utilizing scheduling processes and SAP tools. This will require the Planner to maintain and update master data in the routings and work centers, and ensuring that standard processes, policies, procedures, and tools are maintained and adhered to across the site in support of effective production planning. The role also performs a variety of analytics for the site to develop and implement data reporting capabilities, apply statistical techniques to analyze results, and leverage reporting and data visualization tools to drive improvement.
The position is part of Collins Aerospace’s brand-new additive manufacturing facility dedicated to aerospace production. You will be working amongst a small team of dedicated AM professionals and have the chance to help establish the operation from the ground up. This individual will sit onsite at Collins Aerospace's location in Monroe, NC.
Primary Responsibilities:
Own and drive optimized SAP business solutions across the site in alignment with the manufacturing strategy
Support business processes and systems across SAP functions
Deliver hands-on day to day SAP production support
Utilize lead time scheduling and line balancing tools in SAP to enable operations to be scheduled
Various monthly reporting, variance analysis, SAP health measure reporting, and master data reporting
Develop automated reporting solutions using Excel, VBA, Access, SAP, Business Warehouse, Data Visualization Software, and SQL
Actively contribute to the development of standardized processes and procedures
Analyze and correlate large, complex data sets and provide information reports to users for further analysis
Examine data from various platforms and integrate structured / unstructured data
Develop and implement analytics reports and visualization toolsets.
Assist SBUs with identifying AM suppliers and quoting parts with suppliers
Assist SBUs with adding AM sources to QASL
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Data analytics skills with the ability to prepare, process, analyze and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources
Ability to transform data into information and knowledge to facilitate targeted actions within engineering and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an Additive Manufacturing environment including Additive Manufacturing process knowledge and understanding
Prepare technical reports and monthly project summaries incorporating conclusions and recommendations
Continuous improvement skills (Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, CORE)
Knowledge of best practices for database administration, data warehousing, security procedures and products.
Experience with SAP
Experience developing reporting and analysis solutions in an SAP environment.
Development and reporting experience in tools such as SAP, Business Warehouse, BW Analysis, PWER BI, Splunk, and SQL
