KEYNOTE: Building Your Metaphorical Muscle Memory with Richard Lui, MSNBC/NBC
Whats Working, What’s Needed
In Richard Lui’s book, Enough About Me: The Unexpected Power of Selflessness, Richard explores the idea, "small works build muscles to do big works", or, that taking meaningful action when it’s needed requires everyday practice aligning our actions with our highest values. In this keynote address, Richard relates the events that have defined him, and explains how the everyday practice of building our metaphorical muscle memory can give us the strength to act, both in our personal and professional lives, when it’s critical. Author Richard Lui is a veteran and award-winning journalist with more than 30 years in television, film, technology, and business. Currently, at MSNBC and previously with CNN Worldwide, he is the first Asian American man to anchor a daily national cable news program, and a team Emmy and Peabody winner. This conversation was made possible by the Multicultural Media & Correspondents Association (MMCA).
