KEYNOTE: The Journey Continues - Racial Equity in 2023

What We Know, What We’re Learning

According to one report last year, 79% of companies announced they would raise their DEIB budget in 2022. However, as economic uncertainty looms and budget cuts become reality, DEIB is often the victim. As we reflect back on a turbulent few years that saw a global pandemic, the rise of the Black Lives Matter Movement, and the effects of “The Great Resignation” in transforming the workplace, we wonder what lies ahead for racial equity and diversity. Returning keynote speakers Dr. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, CEO of Global Policy Solutions, and Charlene Wheeless, Senior Advisor, Equity and Justice, APCO Worldwide, sit down with APCO Worldwide’s Licy Do Canto to go deep into what we know and what we’re learning about racial equity in the office and beyond.
