Job Details
The BD Analyst will support Visa’s growth strategy in Ghana by supporting the Country Manager and Business Development team managing client relationships, driving business development initiatives, and providing analytical insights to strengthen Visa’s market position. This role is critical in executing country plans and ensuring alignment with regional priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Act as a central communication point for clients in Ghana.
- Support the Country Manager in maintaining and expanding relationships with key financial institutions and partners.
Business Development:
- Identify market opportunities and develop business cases for new initiatives.
- Assist in implementing strategic projects outlined in the Country Strategy.
- Generate leads and support execution of sales initiatives.
Sales Administration & Ad Hoc Support:
- Assist the Country Manager with sales administration tasks, including pipeline tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Handle ad hoc requests to ensure smooth business operations.
Business Planning and Operations (BPO) Interface:
- Serve as the primary liaison between Visa Ghana and the Business Planning and Operations team.
- Coordinate operational planning, budgeting, and performance tracking activities.
- Ensure timely communication and alignment on country-level priorities and deliverables.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Help to conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
- Monitor and analyze client portfolio performance and provide actionable insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Liaise with internal teams (Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Finance) to ensure timely delivery of client requests.
- Coordinate licensing, marketing campaigns, and product support activities.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure adherence to Visa’s service standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support resolution of client issues promptly and efficiently.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Business Development, Financial Services, or Payments industry.
Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills. proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of card payments, fintech, Mobile money and Ghana’s financial ecosystem.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Other: Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
