Our Metasearch team focuses on building and maintaining high-quality data integrations with key partners like Google, Trivago, and TripAdvisor. We empower teams in Machine Learning Science and Channel Management with timely, accurate datasets that drive automated, data-informed decision-making at scale.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain production-grade batch and streaming data pipelines that support business-critical use cases in marketing, advertising, and experimentation.

  • Implement scalable data processing solutions in public or hybrid cloud environments, applying sound software engineering principles and modern data patterns.

  • Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and data scientists to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring data quality, reliability, and observability.

  • Write clean, modular, and testable code using languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, with attention to maintainability and performance.

  • Contribute to team-owned data products that serve downstream consumers across analytics, reporting, and machine learning platforms.

  • Debug and resolve data quality issues, bottlenecks, and performance constraints in complex systems.

  • Proactively identify areas for technical and process improvements, contributing to the team’s agile development practices and continuous delivery culture.

  • Participate in peer reviews, knowledge-sharing, and team retrospectives to support ongoing team growth and collaboration.

Who you are

  • You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience); or 3+ years with a Master's.

  • You have built and maintained at least one data pipeline or data product in a production environment, ideally in cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • You are proficient in at least one programming language relevant to data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala), and familiar with data processing tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Airflow.

  • You understand batch vs. streaming processing and are familiar with modern data architectures, distributed systems, and data access patterns.

  • You’re experienced with Advanced SQL and working with both traditional RDBMS and distributed data storage systems.

  • You value testing, monitoring, and alerting as core parts of building reliable systems.

  • You’re comfortable working in an agile, collaborative team environment, and can clearly communicate trade-offs and design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • You bring business acumen, curiosity, and a drive to solve real-world data challenges that deliver measurable value.
