The Director of Pharmacy, under the direction of the System Director of Pharmacy, is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising all pharmacy operations at North Naples Hospital (NNH). Activities are carried out in compliance with hospital policies, professional standards of practice, and all applicable State and Federal regulations.

 

Schedule: This position works at least 40 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday, however, hours may vary, and can be long and irregular to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

 

About the Facility: North Naples Hospital is a 240-bed facility and serves as the center of pediatric care for the NCH Health System. It features a Level II NICU, with plans to advance to Level III within the next three years. The Emergency Department handles approximately 65,000 visits annually and provides both adult and pediatric emergency services.

 

NNH is home to the gynecologic oncology service line for NCH and includes an adult medical ICU, dialysis services, six cardiac catheterization labs, and nine operating suites. The campus also houses a three-story, freestanding Orthopedic Hospital-a joint venture with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS)-dedicated to advanced orthopedic care.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and implement innovative practices and programs to enhance pharmacy operations in collaboration with Administration
  • Ensure efficient pharmacy workflows and hold team members accountable for their assigned duties
  • Partner with the NNH automation technician to maintain optimal par levels and performance of automation systems
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Pharmacy Manager to develop sound processes and ensure timely execution of clinical and operational project rollouts

Required Qualifications:

  • ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
  • Active applicable state Pharmacist license in good standing
  • 1+ years of pharmacy management experience working in an acute care hospital setting
  • 3+ years of experience as a pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Public Health
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program
  • Completion of a PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Residency
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Board Certification in Sterile Compounding
  • 4 + years of inpatient pharmacy experience
  • 2+ years of pharmacy management experience working in an acute care hospital setting
  • Experience serving in a pharmacy organizations
  • Proven active involvement in professional pharmacy organizations

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
