Senior Platform Engineer, News Agency | Reuters Operations & Strategy

As a Senior Platform Engineer for Reuters News Agency, you will own and optimize our Salesforce-centric commercial platforms, leading compliant production releases, user administration, and configuration in a SOX-controlled environment. You'll partner with business and technology teams to deliver enhancements and projects that improve sales and customer workflows while driving continuous process and platform improvements.

About the Role:
In this opportunity as Senior Platform Engineer, News Agency, you will:

  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, compliance, and technology teams to elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements.

  • Own and execute end-of-month production releases, ensuring accurate, compliant deployments and operational continuity across commercial platforms.

  • Manage user administration and access provisioning across Salesforce, Zuora, Eloqua, and related systems, in alignment with SOX and internal control standards.

  • Deliver "quick win" Salesforce and platform changes (configuration, minor enhancements, fixes) while maintaining a clear backlog and prioritization with stakeholders.

  • Support and lead medium-complexity projects such as in-app chat replacements and registration/WhatsApp integrations, including testing and release coordination.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and change management practices, ensuring clear communication and adherence to defined metrics.

About You:
You’re a fit for the role of Senior Platform Engineer, News Agency if your background includes:

  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with hands-on work in requirements elicitation, process analysis, and documentation.

  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (and ideally Zuora/Eloqua), including user administration, configuration, and change management in a SOX-controlled environment.

  • Mandatory requirement: Salesforce Certified Administrator credential. Given the focus on user administration and configuration, this baseline knowledge is essential.

  • Comfortable owning production release activities, with a high sense of accountability, attention to detail, and respect for controls and audit requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear, testable technical requirements and collaborate effectively with developers, admins, and QA.

  • Organized and proactive, able to manage day-to-day requests alongside project work, while clearly communicating status, risks, and impacts to stakeholders in a hybrid (PH/IN) team environment.

  • You are a certified Salesforce Administrator (mandatory) and can demonstrate solid, hands-on experience with user administration, configuration, and applying Salesforce best practices in a production environment
