Freddie Mac’s Finance Division is seeking a Financial Forecasting Modeling Senior (Financial Planning & Analysis Senior) to be part of the Investments and Capital Markets CFO department.

Our Impact:The Investments and Capital Markets CFO department is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, portfolio risk and profitability analysis, pricing and valuation activities, and financial planning & analysis for Freddie Mac’s Capital Markets segment. The hired individual will join the Investment & Capital Market (I&CM) Financial Planning and Analysis team and contribute to the Capital Markets financial forecast including stress test results.
Your Impact:Your Work Falls into Two Primary Categories:
Financial Planning and AnalysisExecute monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasts, including Freddie Mac’s annual DFAST Stress testing and Capital Planning forecasts
Create detailed financial and analytical calculations to oversee scenario modeling
Analyze and explain segment results including items related to amortization, fair value changes, and net interest income
Perform business strategic analysis and reporting for I&CM Finance
Create new analytical and reporting FP&A dashboards to enhance business monitoring and reduce forecast variance
Provide requirements and test forecasting enhancements to our Financial Forecasting Application (Mercury+)
Explain the market conditions and Investments & Capital Markets activities that influence earnings sensitivity
Work with business and finance partners on enhancing an extensive framework to support financial planning and forecasting processes
Review current analytical and forecast processes to recommend and implement enhancement opportunities
Worth with various teams within the department and division to improve forecasting accuracy and increase explanatory power
Prepare Management and Board Reporting related to financial and business results
Support the preparation of presentations to senior partners including the Board of Directors
Implement special projects / ad hoc analyses and support new initiatives, products, or business strategies
Automate, improve, and scale reporting and business metrics
Learn existing finance tools and help build new ones
Analyze market and internal metrics to identify trends and highlight opportunities to support better business decisions
5-7 years of financial forecasting, Capital Markets, or reporting and analytics work experience
Bachelor's degree (Preferred concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or related degree)
Experience and/or understanding of FP&A, Liquidity and Asset & Liability Management programs at a financial institution
Knowledge of GAAP financial accounting and reporting concepts
Strong financial aptitude and robust analytical skills
Advanced experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with data visualization tools
Ability to work with large and complex data sets, and familiarity with databases
Strong desire and ability to create new analytics, solve complex and unstructured problems
Proactive and a team first mentality
Strong communication and time management skills
High degree of organization and efficiency with proven attention to detail
Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail while delivering against tight deadlines
Ability to adjust and adapt to changes in the current processes in order to meet management/company’s changing needs
Self-starter/independent thinker: demonstrated ambition to take on new roles with increasing responsibility

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $101,000 - $151,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
