Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed sales targets for Visa Direct Enablers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Partner with local VD team and country managers to meet annual sales goals.
- Manage the full sales cycle with Enablers: prospecting, deal structuring, and contracting and launch.
- Develop sales strategies for acceleration, including identifying high-potential clients, use cases, and verticals.
- Lead generation and prospecting programs, respond to new leads.
- Drive key workstreams for Visa Direct growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal, Client Services, Operations).
- Educate clients about benefits of Visa Direct by conducting the meetings, workshops and events
- Communicate progress and growth externally (PR, conferences, events).
- Ensure appropriate incentive structures and contract approvals with all stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Global)
- Handoff from sale to implementation with Client Services.
- Prospect non-Visa clients, build relationships, and sell where appropriate VD non-FI license.
- Identify and sell to processors, remitters, fintechs, payfacs and aggregators to add Visa Direct to their offerings.
- Capture client feedback on products and services, share insights with Visa teams.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Minimum 5 years of industry experience (Senior FI Relationship Manager, Cross-border payments, Lead for Partnerships, Senior Transaction Banking FI Sales).
Creative self-starter with a bias toward action and a proven track record in developing, launching, and commercializing technology products.
Excellent problem-solving, listening, and communication skills (verbal and written), executive presence.
Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated thought leadership and creativity in product innovation.
Passion for transforming payments and working for an industry leader.
High professionalism and leadership skills to build trust and respect with partners and suppliers.
Strong team player, self-motivated, able to work independently and coordinate cross-functional activities.
Visa or financial or payment industry knowledge required, push payments or real-time payments experience is a plus.
Willingness to travel to relevant Sub-Saharan markets as required.
