Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Test Engineer / Principal Test Engineer (STE- Special Test Equip. Engineer) - With Interim Clearance Required to start work with our talented Advanced Weapons team located in Northridge, CA.
This will be an on-site position with 50% travel to our Ridgecrest, CA site.
Job Description and Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):*

STE lead and Production Support - multiple test stations and test adapters that need to be built, drawing packages completed, etc
-
Coordinate with STE team to coordinate dependencies (personnel, hardware, documentation, etc.) to support completion of activities according to schedule
-
Coordinate with subcontracts for status updates on supplier STE
-
Escalate risks to program or task schedule
-
Provide status to Program Manager (PM)
-
Experience in architecting, design, integration, and test experience with special test equipment.
-
Experience troubleshooting hardware using standard test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, scopes, etc.
-
Experience in special test equipment, including multipurpose integrated test units engineered, designed, fabricated, or modified to accomplish special-purpose testing when performing a contract.
-
Experience in Special Tooling, jigs, dies, fixtures, molds, patterns, taps, gauges, and all components.
-
Experience developing systems test requirements, verification and validation and verification strategies, and verification planning.
-
Experience with Visual Studio, C#, and .Net Framework.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Good software skills, especially in scripting languages.
-
Knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.
-
Knowledge of digital and RF components and circuitry required.
-
Deep understanding of materials, circuits, and equipment function.
-
Excellent interpersonal skills.
-
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Be an excellent team player with lead capability/experience.

Provide status to Program Manager (PM)

Basic Qualifications for a Test Engineer (Level T02):

Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)

Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering/test or infrastructure/architecture experience. Or, Masters Degree with 0 years of relevant engineering experience in related field.

Experience project lead planning and organizing the project, setting deadlines and milestones.
-
Experience managing the schedule and delegating tasks to team members.
-
Experience preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
-
Experience managing the team effectively, delegating tasks, providing feedback and support, and ensuring that the team works together toward the project’s success.
-
*Must have STEM, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering with experience in troubleshooting.

*Basic Qualifications for a Principal Test Engineer (Level T03): *

Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)

Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering/test or infrastructure/architecture experience. Or, Masters Degree with 3 years of relevant engineering experience in related field.

Experience project lead planning and organizing the project, setting deadlines and milestones.

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (investigation completed within last 5 years)

Experience in testing electronics, technical leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration.

Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900
Salary Range 2: $97,500 - $146,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
