- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience as a Bahasa Indonesian translator,
linguist, copywriter, writer, or editor. - Ability to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia and English fluently to support translation work in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or MBA in Business administration or a related field.
- Experience in program management.
- Experience with video, creative, localization, journalism, public communications, or the online marketing/advertising industry.
- Experience in partner or stakeholder management while working with cross-functional teams and across time zones.
- Ability to relate to ambiguity, work separately, and chart the direction of projects.

- Develop and understanding of market expectations for localization quality and create language strategy to enable native language experience to users.
- Be a critical partner for the Indonesia focused teams with stakeholders in Marketing, Product and Communication to enable native language experiences for Google’s products for Indonesian users.
- Engage with local stakeholders to understand their priorities, and share updates on language strategy and global localization services.
- Ensure Google's translation and review vendors deliver high quality translations that align with Google’s language standards. Assess vendor metrics to identify issues or trends, and use metrics to drive improvements with local vendors.
- Create and evolve Indonesian language guidelines and Indonesian language strategy for Google, taking into account input from users, stakeholders, and tech language industry trends.
