The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Senior Developer and Platform Solution Architect with more than 8 years of hands-on expertise to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise grade ServiceNow solutions.
In this hybrid role, the individual will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and high performing ServiceNow architectures, while also providing technical leadership throughout the full development lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep technical proficiency, platform governance knowledge, and architectural vision to drive digital transformation across the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the architecture, design, and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and custom applications.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business and technical requirements into scalable and effective ServiceNow solutions, collaborating closely with business analysts and senior developers.
- Create, develop, customize, and configure workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, data imports, integrations, and custom applications within the ServiceNow platform.
- Assist in and lead the design and implementation of integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C Sharp, and full‑stack technologies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and administrators, perform design/code reviews to ensure compliance with platform standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex ServiceNow issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop long-term, sustainable solutions.
- Ensure platform security and compliance by managing users, roles, groups, ACLs, and following governance and regulatory guidelines.
- Create and maintain technical and architectural documentation, including solution diagrams, interface specifications, and configuration documentation.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases, new platform features, and industry trends, and proactively recommend optimizations and platform enhancements.
- Communicate solution options, architectural decisions, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings, Agile ceremonies and provide regular status updates to project managers and leadership.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies beyond ServiceNow as required.
The Skills You Bring:
- Certified Professional: ServiceNow CSA and CIS (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, etc.) required, CAD or CTA certifications are strong pluses.
- Platform Mastery: Deep hands‑on expertise with JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Integration, and MID Server configuration.
- Implementation Leader: Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end ServiceNow implementations, upgrades, and integrations with enterprise systems such as SAP, Workday, Oracle, and custom APIs.
- Architectural Depth: Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, security models, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Requirements and Solutioning: Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and architect scalable, robust ServiceNow solutions.
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical thinking and decision‑making skills, with the ability to take on new challenges and develop practical, efficient solutions.
- Cross‑Functional Communicator: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment.
- Agile Practitioner: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern project management practices.
- Business Savvy: Experience with client contract management and vendor coordination is a plus.
- Versatile Learner: Knowledge of additional scripting and programming languages or development frameworks, bringing added adaptability and value.
- Full‑Stack Mindset: Strong proficiency in JavaScript with hands‑on full‑stack development experience, complemented by familiarity with Python, C sharp, or other modern programming languages.
We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics. For instance, we have exciting team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
A minimum of eight years of professional experience combined with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or Requires a minimum of six years of professional experience, along with a Master degree and a Bachelor degree in Technology.
