The Infusion Therapist Registered Nurse, in the Infusion Center, serves as a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The RN administers IV therapy treatments in the coordination and effective use of peripheral vascular lines that require advanced nursing competencies. Responsible for appropriate utilization of resources and optimum quality of devices for positive patient outcomes. This individual also works to develop, interpret, implement and document a plan of care for each patient.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer various IV Therapy Treatments to include chemotherapeutic agents and other intravenous drugs
- Analyze patient information and laboratory data
- Select and follow appropriate dosing protocol, upon orders from the PCP
- Recognize patient circumstances and lab data which require referral and communications to PCP
- Triage patient problems during clinic visit and over the telephone. Recognize unusual responses to medication dose regulation and contact attending physician when necessary
- Assume responsibility for arranging patient follow up on identified problems
- Determine frequency of patient visits based on patient information, dosing recommendations and lab test results
- Perform patient education, assessing the appropriateness of interdisciplinary services
- Watch for & recognize symptoms of GI or GU bleeding and initiate appropriate referrals, based on perceived urgency
- Document and record all medication doses, reactions and return visits in clinic chart
- Participate in professional development efforts to ensure currency in health care practices and trends
- Maintain strictest confidentiality and attend meetings as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Oregon RN license
- Current healthcare level BLS/CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- 4+ years of professional nursing experience
- 2+ years of IV therapy experience
- Experience working in an electronic medical record system
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
