Job Description

The Product Analyst will be responsible for assisting in developing requirements and delivering value to customers through API and UI-driven applications. As a member of the Global Product team, the Product Analyst will interact with business stakeholders to inform strategy on key initiatives and collaborate with the Technology organization to implement a delivery plan for features & functionality.

They will support the Lead, Product Management and assume ownership of portions of the customer-facing portal. Daily activities will range from research & planning, communicating with stakeholders, writing user stories, interacting with design & development teams, and defining test cases and conducting acceptance testing for both API and UI deliverables.
Essential Functions:

  • You will actively seek customer and partner input data as a source of product innovation 
  • You will assist to complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, and presentations, focusing on EMVCo requirements and compliance for payment network both international and domestic schemes.
  • You will own and build technical product requirements, incorporating measurable outcomes solving for business and customer needs 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in all aspects of the product lifecycle 
  • You will take ownership of UI components, including requirements definition, delivery planning, acceptance testing, and commercialization collaboration 
  • Actively participate in strategic direction of the product and the platform 
  • You will act as an escalation point for product functionality inquiries and production support 
  • You will provide transparent communication to relevant parties on product decisioning and status 
  • You will collaborate with internal teams to perform ad-hoc analysis to identify transaction processing root causes, measure the impact of a platform bug, quantify the opportunity of an idea, or support better decision-making. 
  • Craft solutions in partnership with technical architecture team, delivering global scale and world-class customer value to large enterprise partners 
  • Represent the organization and product in internal reviews and during client engagements 
  • Act as a product owner for an agile delivery team on an as-needed basis 
  • Leverage tools such as JIRA to manage project tracking and build delivery plans 
  • Apply agile principles to daily interactions and play an active role in continuous improvement  

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 1+ years of product management or software delivery experience
  • You have prior understanding of payments ecosystem and FinTech environments
  • Experience with card not present authentication protocols, primarily EMV 3DS is highly preferred
  • You have prior experience working in a hybrid environment
  • You have a proven ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Proven analytical and decision-making abilities
  • You are comfortable presenting in a group atmosphere
  • Demonstrated success in roadmap planning and strategic product planning
  • Track record of documenting acceptance criteria and delivering on project plan outcomes
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and development lifecycle Knowledgeable in e-commerce and digital payments

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 110,700.00 to 156,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
