Job Details

Citi Chief Operating Office (COO) is tightly integrated with Citi’s businesses. COO plays a central role in driving value for the firm and its clients. It provides a foundation for processes and people that enable Citi to achieve its day-to-day operational and its long-term growth goals.

The mission of the COO Controls organization in Citi is to support the identification, assessment, and management / mitigation of risk across COO related to franchise, reputational, and client risks. Within COO Controls, the COO Policy Governance Team is responsible overseeing document inventory management and ongoing document development for all policy documents owned and managed by COO.

The position will report to the head of COO Policy Governance and will support the on-going development, enhancement and implementation of the COO policy document inventory. The role will help set the strategic direction for COO policy governance and will be an integral part of day-to-day operationalization and maintenance of COO policy documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic support and execution for Citi's COO Policy Governance Team
  • Manage tasks and responsibilities associated with the planning, directing, coordination and support of day-to-day activities relating to COO policy documents and related projects/initiatives
  • Create or update policy, standards, procedures and applicable controls and supporting process documents
  • Engage in management activities, such as strategic initiatives, planning, and execution
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years relevant experience
  • Prior experience in managing highly visible, complex initiatives and/or consulting experience
  • Capable of diving into details, while bringing a strategic add big picture perspective
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skillset, and demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across a large financial institutions
  • Continuous improvement mindset – assess impact of actions and adjust as needed; simplify and standardize at every opportunity
  • Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to senior management
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a highly dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and provide direction with judgement and authority to enable effective validation with senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology
  • PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Tableau


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
