Work You'll Do:

Our team, within Cyber Division, performs IV&V functions for infrastructure and applications / cybersecurity WAN risk assessments. JCIP Technical Reviewers play a critical role in assessing the security posture of cloud environments across the Intelligence Community (IC). They conduct thorough technical assessments and analyze cloud configurations, access controls, and security baselines to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), IC Technical Implementation Guides (TIGs), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Requirement Guides (SRGs), and NIST 800-53 rev 5 security controls. OTHER: Independently evaluate cloud infrastructure and platform security settings, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
  • Work closely with cloud service administrators and organizational leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute cloud security inspections.
  • Interview cloud engineers and security teams to verify compliance with cloud-specific STIGs and NIST controls.
  • Analyze cloud risk exposures related to identity and access management (IAM), data protection, logging, monitoring, and incident response capabilities.
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports and communicate findings to both technical and leadership audiences.
  • Stay current on emerging cloud security trends, new technologies, and vendor-specific controls (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Travel as necessary to support on-site and remote inspections. (8-12 weeks of travel avg some international and passport required).

Knowledge:
  • Extensive experience with one or more major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Solid understanding of cloud security architectures, shared responsibility models, and cloud-native security tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud governance, compliance frameworks, and cloud-specific NIST controls, especially NIST 800-53 and 800-171.
  • Knowledge of security automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and continuous monitoring in cloud environments.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree + 13 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 5+ years of experience
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a CI Poly
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Local to St. Louis, Missouri or Norfolk, VA area and able to come onsite 5 days a week.
  • IAT LEVEL III (CASP, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH)
  • 8+ years of experience with the following:
    • Cloud Infrastructure
    • Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS)
    • Platform As A Service (PAAS)
    • Software As A Service (SaaS)
