Fullstack Developer - Vice President - Cyber Data Risk and Resilience (CDRR)
Profile Description
We’re seeking someone to join our team as Full stack Developer at a Vice President level as part of the Sustainable Finance and Resilience Technology Department, within Non-Financial Risk Technology which sits in CDRR. The position will be a core part of the team focusing on initiatives supporting our Firmwide Global Sustainability Office (GSO). Responsibilities will include leveraging technical capabilities strategically and effectively to facilitate solutions for our GSO clients and will also include aligning with Firm’s strategic Technology priorities.

The Cybersecurity organization's mission is to create an agile, adaptable organization with the skills and expertise needed to defend against increasingly sophisticated adversaries. This will be achieved by maintaining sound capabilities to identify and protect our assets, proactively assessing threats and vulnerabilities and detecting events, ensuring resiliency through our ability to respond to and recover from incidents and building awareness and increase vigilance while continually developing our cyber workforce.
Non-Financial Risk Technology
Non-Financial Risk Technology provides operational controls, support for sustainable investing, business continuity planning, and surveillance capabilities to enhance the firm’s resilience to threats and fraudulent behavior.
Technical
Specialist
This is a Vice President position within our Technical Specialist function which comes with responsibilities for guiding a team of developers in Mumbai, in addition to hands-on development in an OO language like Python or Java, and a hands-on approach to working with data across all phases of the software development lifecycle, partnering closely with the Product Owner and squad in product delivery.
We are looking for someone who will provide technical leadership, primarily of our ESG data workstream, but with local oversight of other areas being worked on by our existing team in Mumbai, including geospatial and climate scenario analysis initiatives.

What you’ll do in the role:
· Responsible for the development, maintenance and support of multiple applications or frameworks
· Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
· Provide technical leadership and vision for software development projects.
· Define technical architecture and roadmap for large-scale, mission-critical systems.
· Manage a team of software engineers, providing technical direction and assign tasks in accordance with agreed priorities.
· Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices across the team.
· Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
· Act as a subject matter expert in specific technology domains or platforms.
· Continuously assess and improve team performance and efficiency.
· Estimation & end to end execution of required changes, coordination with stakeholders, as required
· Test software designs and solutions (including unit testing and integrated testing)
· Build and maintain automated test suites
What you’ll bring to the role:
· At least 10+ years of hands-on application development utilizing Python, Java or another popular OO development language
· Experience in developing web services using standard Python (preferably) or Java based frameworks/toolkits (REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML)
· Experience in the development of service-oriented architecture application, good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns and Git version control
· Solid understanding of DB concepts and working with relational databases (Postgres preferred)
· Experience with MVC patterned applications using JavaScript frameworks and working with front end development teams, preferably in Angular
· Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Tableau
· Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective technical designs that work well within large-scale, well-structured enterprise environments
· Proficient in DevOps tooling and practices
· Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading development teams.
· Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
· A very strong communicator with the ability to interface directly with clients, vendors and analysts to ensure technical requirements and delivery align with expectations
· Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and document the root cause of issues, and effectively communicate possible resolutions
· Mentorship of senior and junior engineers.
· Solid understanding of the financial services industry, with any exposure to ESG within the industry being a benefit
· Ability to influence technical direction and drive innovation.
· Experience with project planning and execution.
