Job Description

The Manager, GSC Business Systems Lead will provide support to key Global Site Contracting (GSC)

Systems and technological solutions to manage the execution of clinical trials. The role successfully

integrates GSC system capabilities, leading cross-functional alignment with R&D functions to support

effective system solutions. Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific focus areas utilizing contract

data to drive decision making (e.g., global site activation processes and strategies, global implementation

of best practice, system superuser etc.). Requires frequent interaction with Sr. Leadership and cross-

functional management to provide system health summaries and strategies, including defect

management, user adoption, enhancement/release planning, and related compliance activities, driving

cross-functional alignment across GSC, R&D business functions and with Business Technology Solutions

(BTS).

Responsibilities

· Support Contract Managers and the LT on timely preparation and execution of CDAs, CSAs and

budgets through the improvement of systems and data sources utilized by the team.

· Lead process improvement projects for the GSC Function and/or be a SME representing the function

on process teams with broader impact. Drive for excellence and continuous improvement in delivery

of global Contract Management responsibilities through the use of new data sources, visuals and

system processes.

· Business Subject Matter Expert of GSC systems (e.g., Conga), involved in the creation of system

status reports and tracking of items (enhancements, change requests, dashboards, and

integrations) in partnership with Business Technology Solutions (BTS).

· Maintain knowledge of current systems (i.e. Conga, BIT) and alignment to existing business

processes.

· Support the business in identifying innovative solutions (e.g., AI use-cases, RPA solutioning),

ensuring proper ongoing use of the system, leveraging metrics and IR/BSOS information to

system use behavior is as intended;

· Provide input into all business project deliverables, including strategic decision-making,

stakeholder management, schedule development, budget preparation, and communication.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement anticipating emerging technology needs; adjust

and revise strategy and action plans accordingly;

· Support the business in developing user requirements and testing for any new system

enhancements;

· Review system change requests to evaluate if a change is needed or re-education of the business

process;


Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; a Health Care, business, legal, or scientific discipline

preferred.

•4 + years Clinical Research and/or system/analytics, contract/budget experience or computer software

experience in database development and reporting. Experience in cross-functional interactions and

working within a global environment an advantage.

•Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills •Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities. •Sense of urgency and strong goal orientation; track-record of meeting deadlines and goals. •Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively •Proactive and positive team player. Able to maintain high performance during times of ambiguity and change in the work environment. •Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
