We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Benefits Manager. This position will support our operations in Europe and report directly to the Director of Total Rewards. The Benefits Manager for Europe is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of the benefits strategy to support the attraction, retention, and engagement of employees in Europe. This role involves evaluating, developing, implementing, and administering cost-effective benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement, time off, and work/life.The position will be based in the UK or Netherlands.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement comprehensive benefits programs and strategies for our European workforce, ensuring alignment with local regulations and market practices
Manage all aspects of employee benefits, including health and wellness programs, retirement plans, insurance coverage, and other related benefits
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as HR, Finance, and Legal, to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis of benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness
Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries, issues, and escalations
Partner with external vendors and brokers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure high-quality service delivery
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in benefits provision and administration, making recommendations for continuous improvement
Prepare and present reports on benefits utilization, costs, and trends to senior leadership
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
6+ years of experience in employee benefits administration, preferably in a multinational organization
Preferred Qualifications
Project management experience in a business setting required
Proficiency with HRIS required, Workday experience preferred
Comprehensive understanding of benefits, leave, and accommodation regulations in European countries (UK, NLD, ESP, FRA, DEU, DNK, SWE, and IRL)
Proven experience managing benefits programs across multiple countries and locations
Demonstrated experience resolving complex benefit and leave-related issues
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and apply independent judgment in accordance with laws, regulations, policies, administrative rules, and procedures
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, analytical, and reporting skills
Excellent interpersonal skills; proficient at developing relationships with employees and all levels of management with demonstrated ability to be a trusted resource
Drives collaboration with the ability to bring together stakeholders to develop effective solutions
Capable of managing concurrent assignments with varying priorities and deadlines
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Travel less than 10%
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
