Job Details
The Data Quality Sr. Analyst helps to ensure data sourced and provisioned by different areas, meets all required Data Quality standards. In this role, moderately complex and variable issues are evaluated with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. The Data Quality Sr. Analyst assesses, evaluates, and analyzes data challenges and provide recommendations on their resolution. They collaborate with an array of teams and groups, developing subject matter expertise and knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Responsibilities:
Devises methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available data sources.
Defines strategies to drive data quality measurement, produce data quality dashboards and reports, and implement data quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve data quality.
Works with data quality partners and Technology teams to identify and implement data quality tools. Identify critical data elements, data quality rules, thresholds, and other business requirements.
Assists in the remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback on the data quality program.
Designs/analyzes moderately complex reports to satisfy management requirements.
Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact.
Uses broad discretion in developing solutions for business reporting issues.
Influences decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization.
Mentors lower-level analysts.
Applies in-depth understanding and knowledge of how business integrates within the sub function; as well as coordinates and contributes to the objectives of the function and overall business.
Contributes to the development of new techniques and processes and for the aligned business.
Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.
Responsible for own work to support business teams in assigned area.
Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams, and is involved in coaching and training of new recruits in business processes and procedures of business
Utilizes communication and diplomacy skills are required.
Build data quality assessments and measurement of critical data utilized by Citi strategic systems and processes supporting Citi Global Functions and Sectors.
Responsible for the reviewing, analyzing and dispositioning of the results of those measurements as well as providing detail and summary reporting of the same.
Accountable for understanding and documenting systems, data flows and data quality rules driven from the profiling and assessments of critical data.
Analyze data quality issues
Interact with business and technical staff who support the Global Functions, ensuring the data quality scorecards are measuring fit for purpose data.
Secure approvals from Data Governance Officers on scorecard requirements and use (i.e., tollgate documentation).
Performs other job duties and functions as assigned.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
5-8 years Software Experience preferred
Experience with defining and implementing data quality programs
Problem Solving - Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong project management skills
Optimizes work processes by knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
Proficient in using data management and analysis tools including basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Intermediate proficiency in System Query Language (SQL)
Working knowledge of Tableau (report consumer, developer, etc.)
Demonstrated understanding of Database structures
Proven ability to provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
Anticipates and balances the needs of multiple stakeholders, while monitoring tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
Communicates effectively in non-technical terms at all levels of the organization
Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$87,280.00 - $130,920.00
