Job Purpose

A Quality Engineer works within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet. They play a key role in fixing issues when they arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensuring the proper level of internal quality

Managing problem solving, containment and corrective actions

Developing control standards, instructions, control plans

Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and generating KPI reports

Managing internal improvement plans

Cooperating with relevant support functions

Improving the quality of the production line

Running system, process and product audits

Ensuring correct nonconform and suspected product management

Participate in change approval process

Providing quality coaching for production staff

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

English language on communicative level in writing and speaking

Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5WHY, Statistical Tools, SPC, etc.)

Excellent PC skills with the ability to produce high quality document deliverables in short time scales

SAP knowledge, desirably with quality module

Familiar with technical documentation

Team player able to work independently
