The Payment Operations Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of payment processing activities specializing in wire and check processing. This position is responsible for monitoring daily payment operations, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies, and supporting process improvements to enhance operational performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced financial environment.

This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6:00 am - 3:30 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be 8;00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process and monitor domestic payments across multiple platforms.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of payment transactions and resolve exceptions promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, liaising with internal teams and external partners.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end reporting for Treasury and Finance teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management review.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2+ years of experience in payment operations, treasury, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems (ACH, wire transfers, SWIFT) and banking processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with payment platforms and treasury management systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to payments (e.g., OFAC, AML).

 

Telecommuting Requirements: 

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) 
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. 
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from  $71,200 - $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
