POSITION TITLE : Associate Manager Segment Development - Pharmaceuticals

LOCATION : Hyderabad

The Associate Manager, Segment Development for Pharma is a very pivotal role in the LPM business and will have full accountability for the incremental growth of the Pharma segment in AD Southern and East of India You will be entrusted to retain and grow the business and help gain share in the marketplace. 

The role involves working with brands in the pharma industry and having C-suite as well as Packaging and procurement connections in these brands to drive AD business. In this role, you will manage and elevate the end-to-end engagement with brand owners and ecosystem partners in the Pharma space. You will be responsible for Avery Dennison’s market leadership in self-adhesive labels across all pharma sub- segments.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :

  • Adhere and demonstrate business ethics and core values as defined by the organization.
  • Accountable for market mapping and actively monitoring competitor strategies, identifying unmet needs of the brands and commercializing initiatives catering to the needs.
  • Identify new opportunities with brands for PSL adoption, scan the ecosystem for new insights and application development ideas.
  • Be the catalyst of growth by leading development of strategic outlook, operating plans along with key initiatives to enhance market share & profitability.
  • Responsible for opportunity pipeline generation and achievement of annual operating plan.
  • Drive independent projects to increase the breadth and depth of our pipeline.
  • Actively collaborate with regional and global teams to understand application extension possibilities.  
  • Actively collaborate with the Product Management team for monitoring progress on BFI’s and exploring ideas for making compelling value propositions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (R&D, Sales, PD etc.) for development of products, demand forecasting, pricing, maximization of profitability and market share.
  • Actively collaborate with Marketing Communications team to ensure that we are actively participating in industry events, deploying tools to run campaigns, deploy sales tools to enable better penetration for our Pharmaceuticals portfolio
  • Actively update SFDC for all opportunities and use Dashboards to report out/ monitor/ pivot / strategise on time.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU :

  • 10+ years of B2B commercial experience, a professional who combines a technical mindset with a mastery of value-based and concept selling.
  • Must possess a deep understanding of the Pharma Packaging Ecosystem; prior experience with Labels will be preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Market Research methodologies to deliver structured, data-backed market understanding.
  • Self driven with strong people skills, ability to influence cross functional teams
  • A proven track record of managing complex, high-stakes customer relationships and navigating challenging business situations with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A self-driven individual with strong interpersonal skills. You must demonstrate the ability to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively to drive results.
  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and across functions while managing complex schedules and priorities.
  • Proficient in data generation, trend analysis, and presentation skills using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and modern AI platforms.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the city and across states for business purposes.

Qualifications

A professional degree coupled with a postgraduate qualification (IIP, MTech, MBA, or equivalent) is required.
